Revision 5 of the' 1
UFSAR included changes to the QAPD as of January,.1987.
The Region I staff has reviewed this submittal and determined that the concerns' identified in Attachme'nt 1 to this-letter need to be resolved prior

to our acceptance of the changes.
From-the-telephone' conversations of Reference (2) we understand that you intend to provide this office with a revised submittal by December 31, 1987 to
- resolve the concerns of Attachnient 1.
Also, you indicated that the QAPD changes. necessitated as a result of the' resolution of our concerns and other
-QAPD changes instituted since October,1987 would be' included in the next annual revision of the UFSAR.

-Section 17.2.1.4 3 delineates that the Senior Engineer - QC reports.to I
the two Assistant General Superintendents. This is inconsistent with the

P organization chart for the Construction Division (Exhibit XI) which shows QC reporting to the General Superintendent.

Section 17.2,4.3 - the addition of " preliminary" to this section requires j
- clari fication. Modification of this section to state that final j
requisition's are prepared by the Stores-Division and based on preliminary requests from.the ordering group appears to be inappropriate.
'7.
Section D.12.2.7.d - Minor maintenance work audits previously listed as a responsibility of the Plant Operations Review Committee were deleted without justification.
