PREDICTED FISH MORTALITIES RESULTING FROM UNSCHEDULED SHUTDOWN The licensee reported that a plant shutdown is in progress to locate i
the source of increasing unidentified leakage into primary containment of 4.6 gpm.
The Technical Specification limit is 5 gpm.
Id5 Local water temperature conditions indicate potential fish mortalities may occur when the water temperature in the effluent canal cools dowm to the supply water temperature of 390F.
Further temperature decreases g'
in the local environs are expected.
i Media interest is expected because of local and 1 tate sensitivity to this issue.
The State of New Jersey has been and is being kept informed. A press release is not planned. The licensee has informed local media.
