SUPPLEMENT NUMBER ONE TO

SUMMARY

REPORT OF STARTUP TEST PROGRAM Gentlemen:

In accordance with the requirements of Section 6.8.1.1 of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Unit 1 Technical Specifications, Georgia Power Company (GPC) hereby submits a supplement to the summary report of plant startup and power escalation testing.

This supplemental report addresses each of the remaining startup tests that were incomplete at the time that the initial startup report j

was prepared.

The report covers the period from August 1, 1987 through November 15, 1987.

Testing of four radiation monitors within the Process and Effluent Radiation Monitoring System remains to be completed.

Additionally, final results analysis of the data collected from the Dynamic Response Test and Thermal Expansion Test is ongoing.

These efforts will be reported in a later supplement to the startup report.

In our letter dated January 2,1987, GPC provided a discussion on the status of testing of systems associated with the deferred radwaste building.

The waste evaporator and boron recycle evaporator have not been completed.

Consequently, performance testing of these systems has not been completed.

Further discussion of these tests will be provided in future Plant Vogtle Unit 2 startup correspondence.

Please contact this office if you have any questions.

Sincerely, hi)k a
