l Mallinkrodt reported the loss of a package containing 10 iodine-131 diagnostic capsules (100 uCi each).
Shipment involved flight from Newark Airport to the Dulles Airport, pick-up by Purolator Courier f
(Baltimore offic.e), transfer to their D.C. office and delivery to con-signee at Petersburg, Virginia. Loss discovered in Ladysmith, Virginia.
J Because theft may have been involved, Purolator Courier notified the Virginia Strte Police.

Police by Pu'rolator Courier. The State of Virginia and the District of Columbia have been and are being kept informed.
A press release is not planned.
OIE received notification of this occurrence by telephone and telegram from Dr. John Glenn of Mallinkrodt at 9:00 a.m., October 23, 1975.
