Adequacy of Mechanical and Electrical Equipment This letter is submitted to fulfill the commitment node in our letter of October 21, 1987.
In the October 21, 1987 letter, Portland General Electric Company (PGE) committed to provide either a description of our current activities, plans, and schedule for implementing the requirements of Generic Letter 87-02, or a commitment to join the Seismic Qualifica--
tion Utility Group (SQUG). Since the submittal of the October 21, 1987 letter, PGE has joined the SQUG. Therefore, the SQUG methodology and schedule for implementation of Generic Letter 87-02 requirements will be adopted by PGE.
