FAILURE OF EMERGENCY DIESEL GENERATOR AT JAMES A. FITZPATRICK NUCLEAR P%TER STATION On March 18, 10'/5, while the plant was operating and conducting its initial reactor power testing program, the "D" emergency diesel generator experienced l
a failure with a resultant internal explosion. No personnel were injured.
An orderly reactor shutdown was initiated in conformance with Technical Specification requirements (the redundant diesel generators had previously W
- failed and were undergeing repairs).
