Reference (a): Letter from J.R. Wojnarowski to H.R. Denton dated January 28, 1986
Dear Mr. Murley:
In the above referenced letter, Commonwealth Edison proposed to amend its Technical Specifications for Quad Cities Station Unit 1 to reflect the operation of the unit with a failed jet pump instrument line.
Due to the long period of time that has elapsed since the referenced letter was submitted to your staff for their review and approval, Commonwealth Edison wishes to supplement its original submittal. We are providing the following documents to your staff in order to facilitate their review and issuance of the proposed license amendment:
4 (1) Attachment 1, Proposed Changes to DPR-29 Technical Specifications (pps. 3.6/4.6-5 and 3.6/4.6-13); and (2) Attachment 2, Summary of Changes; and l
(3) Attachment 3, Safety Evaluations; and (4) Attachment 4, Evaluation of Significant Hazards Consideration t, supercedes and replaces in total the information provided to you in our January 28, 1986 submittal. These pages contain additional proposed changes and have been retyped for clarity. A summary of these proposed changes can now be found in Attachment 2.
Such a summary was not provided in our earlier submittal. Attachment 3 (Attachment 2 in our Reference (a)) contains our Safety Evaluation which has not been changed from our January 28, 1986 submittal. Lastly, we are providing a revised Evaluation of Significant Hazards Consideration in Attachment 4 (Attachment 3 in our Reference (a)), which supplements our earlier evaluation.
