Recently you received a copy of a memorandum on Freedom of information Act Procedures for l
NMSS. This memorandum was approved on May 1,1998, and Cathy Poland was listed as the Contact. Although this memorandum was not originally issued oc an NMSS Policy and Procedures (P&.P) Letter, because of its content and importance to NMSS staff, we are hereby designating it NMSS P&P Letter 1-62.
' Please attach this cover memorandum to your copy of the May 1 memorandum and retain and file it as you would other P&P Letters. I urge you to read the May 1 memorandum carefully and request that you continue to follow the detailed procedures contained in that memorandum when dealing with Freedom of Information Act requests.
