-Appendix E to the.Seabrook Station Radiological Emergency Plan describes
..the'Public' Alert and Notification System. Recently, the City of Newburyport, Massachusetts removed six. sirens from use.
In order to compensate for the loss.of the Newburyport sirens, an Airborne Alerting System will be established prior to: initial criticality to provide alerting for these areas.
The details of this' system are provided in Appendix E of the enclosed submittal.
In addition, The Commonwealth of Massachusetts refused to renew the ipermittfor one siren located at the Salisbury Beach State Reservation in Salisbury, Massachusetts. New Hampshire Yankee plans to appeal the permit denial.
In the event the. Salisbury siren is removed, the NRC Staff will be so
