The NRC staff has reviewed your submittals dated April 15, 1985, August 18, 1986, and October 31, 1986, regarding implementation of Regulatory Guide. (RG) 1.97, Revision 3, guidelines.. The NRC staff finds that your actions to meet RG 1.97, Revision 3, are acceptable except for' accumulator tank level and

-pressure, containment atmosphere, temperature, and vent from steam generator safety. relief valves or atmospheric ~ dump valves.' Additional information required to close the open issues is.. outlined-in the enclosed safety evaluation-report (Enclosure 1). Also, enclosed is the Technical Evaluation Report dated July 1987 (Enclosure 2); froin our consultant, EG&G-Idaho, Inc.

This request is covered by Office of Management and Budget Clearance Number 3150-0011 which expires September 30, 1989.. Comments on burden and duplication may be directed to the Office of Management and Budget. Room 3208, New Executive Office Building, Washington,'D. C. 20503.
