FIRST TEN YEAR INTERVAL INSERVICE INSPECTION PROGRAM FOR WOLF CREEK GENERATING STATION (TAC NO. 57365)
By letter dated December 11, 1985, and supplements'thereto dated December 13, 1985, January 20, July 10, October 17, 1986, February 20, March 17, and March 20, 1987, Kansas Gas and Electric Company (the licensee, presently Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation) submitted the Wolf Creek Generating I
Station first 10 year Interval Inservice Inspection (ISI) Program Plan', Revision 2, to the NRC for review and evaluation of its compliance with the requirements of the 1980 Edition through Winter 1981 Addenda of Section XI of the ASME Code, 10 CFR 50.55a, and commitments made prior to granting of the Operating License.
The NRC staff with technical assistance from the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL), has reviewed and evaluated the program and additional information provided by the licensee.
4 We find that the Wolf Creek Generating Station, inservice inspection program is acceptable and in compliance with 10 CFR 50.55a(g)(4).
The staff's safety evaluation and the INEL Technical Evaluation Report are enclosed.
A summary of the relief requests evaluated and the determinations made by the staff is shown in Table 1 of the enclosed safety evaluation.
