VRAIN (TAC NO. 53674) Jl We have completed our review of your.'submittals referenced in the enclosed Safety Evaluation for Item 2.2 (Part 1) of Generic Letter 83-28. Item 2.2.1 required that you describe in considerable detail your program for classifying i all safety-related components other than Reactor Trip System components. '

These components are. classified as safety-related on documents and in informa-tion handling systems that are used to control plant activities that may affect I these components. Our review of your responses as documented in-the enclosed contractor's report (EG&G-NTA-7437) finds your responses for this item to be acceptable. The enclosed SER documents our concurrence with the contractor's findings and also finds the responses for this item to be acceptable. We, therefore, consider Item 2.2.1 to be closed by this action. TAC No. 53674 is not closed by this action since Gene'ric Letter 83-28, Item 2.2.2 remains open.
