The' Department of Energy (D0E) requests that the Nuclear Regulatory-

Commission (NRC) Certificate of Compliance No. 9860 for the Model'No. DT-14A l

be. amended to include an additional payload consisting'of naval fuel. The i

DT-14A package design has both NRC and DOE-Certificates of Compliance.

Enclosed, for your review, are 6 copies of the current DT-14A' Safety Analysis Report for Packaging (SARP)Jand the supplement-(No.~1,'Rev. 2) that addresses-the naval fuel payload.

The DOE certification office has[just: completed a: detailed review'of the-DT-14A SARP with supplement and found it acceptable. The DOE. Certificate of Compliance No. 9860 and approval record are enclosed. -Changes made to:the certificate are indicated-by vertical lines.in-the margins.
