PATIENTS RECEIVED LESS THAN PRESCRIBED DOSAGE WriEN ONE OF TWO l-131 CAPSULES WERE NOT ADMINISTERED The following information is provided to the Generic Assessment Panel in response to your request for an Information Notice issued concerning multiple 1-131 misadministration. As discussed in an E-mail message from Steven Baggett to GAP dated July 13,1998, a NMSS newsletter article will be submitted for the next issue concerning misadministration of I-131 capsules instead on an Information Notice. GAP had tasked the Material Safety Branch to issue an information Notice making medicallicensees aware of the issue. In review of the background information, it was determined that a NMSS newslette e article would be more appropriate. It does not appear that further action is necessary.
