{{#Wiki_filter:_ _... .l NIAGARA M0 HAWK POWER CORPORATION i NINE MILE POINT NUCLEAR STATION ~ UNIT #1 l NARRATIVE OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE -1 i The station operated during the month of October 1987 with a-Unit Availability Factor of 78.3% and a Net Design Electrical Capacity . Factor of 65.7%. There were.no challenges to Electromatic Relief Valves. l ' Reductions in Capacity Factor were due to Control Rod Exercising, Control Rod Pattern Adjustments, high lake temperature plus the plant-was limited to 90% CTP by.three (3) recirculation pump operation during part of the' month. The Reactor scrammed on high neutron flux due to EPR malfunction-on 10/16/87.- During subsequent start up #14 Recirculation pump failed and could not be restarted. Power was also limited during start up for replacement of #4 Traversing Incore Probe. t ' CLASS I WORK --INSTRUMENT AND CONTROL - OCTOBER 1987 ) WR# 10272.1 LPRM 12-330. Short in cable.
