PORTLAND GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON PACIFIC POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY TROJAN NUCLEAR PLANT DOCKET N0. 50-344 i
1.0 INTRODUCTION
l By letter dated July 14, 1987, Portland General Electric Company (PGE) requested a change to Technical Specification (TS) Section 3/4.11.3,
" Solid Radioactive Waste." PGE proposed to delete the reference to TS 6.9.1.9.b from TS 3.11.3.1.b since TS 6.9.1.9.b is nonexistent.
2.0 DISCUSSION AND EVALUATION The proposed removal of a reference to a nonexistent Technical Specifi-cation is an administrative change since.the change corrects an error i
within the TS. As such, the staff finds the' proposed amendment to be acceptable.
3.0 CONTACT WITH STATE OFFICIAL The NRC staff has notified the Oregon Department of Energy of the proposed issuance of this amendment along with the proposed determination of no significant hazards consideration.
No' comments were' received.
4.0 ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATION
This amendment relates to changes in recordkeeping, reporting or admini-strative procedures or requirements. The Commission has previously published a proposed finding that the amendment involves no significant hazards consideration and there has been no public comment on such finding.
Accordingly, the amendment meets the eligibility criteria for categorical exclusion set forth in 10 CFR 651.22(c)(10). Pursuantto10CFR.551.22(b),
no environmental impact statement or environmental assessment need be prepared in connection with the issuance of the amendment.

5.0 CONCLUSION
We have concluded, based on the considerations discussed above, that (1) there is reasonable assurance that the health'and safety of the public will not be endangered by operation in the proposed manner, and (2) such activities will be conducted in compliance with the Comission's regulations', and (3) the issuance

the health and safety of the public.
