This letter transmits the findings of the routine safety inspection by Messrs.
R. J. Urban, L. E. Myers, and T. P. Johnson on August 29, 1987, to October
16. 1987, at the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Delta, Pennsylvania.
These findings were based on observation of cctivities, interviews,
measurements and document reviews, and have been discussed with Mr. D. M.
Smith of your staf f.
A copy of this letter and the enclosures are being placed in the NRC Public
Document Room.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
However,
four additional shutdown cooling isolations occurred during this inspectim
period.
In our letter dated October 2, 1987, we asked you to respond to
numerous isolations identified in combined inspection reports 50-277/87-22;
50-278/87-22.
No additional reply to this letter is required beyond any request in our
October 2, 1987 letter.
