i BOMB THREAT '

A bomb threat was received at the Stone and Webster switchboard at l 8:10 a.m. on 10/6/76. The caller was identified as an adult male who gave a very brief threat, stating that a bomb would go off at

, the plant before lunch. It is believed that the call was placed from a telephone booth offsite, but the location is not linown. '

g.3 A search is presently in progress,,with nothing found at the time of notification of OIE. Local and state law enforcement officials,

( along with the FBI have been notified. Six other similar bomb threats have been received at North Anna in 1976. North Anna Unit No. 1 is approximately 93% complete and Unit 2 is nearing 76% completion.

A press release is not planned by the licensee or NRC.

NRC Region II received notification of the occurence by telephone from the Plant Manager, at approximately 9:25 a.m. 10/6/76.
