This preliminary notification constitutes EARLY notice of events cf POSSIBLE national security or public interest significance. The information presented is as initially received without verification or evaluation and is basically all that is known by IE staff as of this date.

Subject:
BOMB THREAT A bomb threat was received at the station security guard house on 9/2/76 at 9:30 p.m.
The caller, an adult male, stated that a bomb would go off within 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br />.

A search was initiated and nothing was found. Local and state law enforcement officials were notified, along with the FBI. Five similar bomb threats have been received at the North Anna Station in 1976.
North Anna Unit No. 1 is approximately 92% complete'and Unit
(-
No.2 is nearing 75% completion.
A press release is not planned by the licensee or NRC.
NRC Region II (Atlanta) received notification of this occurrence by l
telephone from the Plant Manager, at 9:10 a.m.,9/3/76.
The IAT has been notified.
