NRC/ Licensee Meeting on July 22, 1987 This refers to a meeting held at the NRC Region I Office on July 22, 1987 between NRC Region I and licensee representatives to discuss the licensee's program to i
control potentially contaminated material within the Radiation Controlled Area (RCA) for release offsite.
The meeting was requested by Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation, as discussed in NRC Inspection Report 50-271/87-09 dated June l
25, 1987.
A Notice of Licensee Meeting, issued on July 15, 1987, is attached as.
Topics discussed during the meeting and the meeting attendees are listed in the attached Meeting Summary Report, Enclosure 2.
Your briefing agenda and handout material are attached as Enclosure 3.
The four-hour meeting was limited to a pre-sentation of information by your representatives, as supplemented by their oral rerponses to the NRC's questions.
During the meeting your representatives com-mitted to complete certain actions as identified in Enclosure 2.
I would appreci-ate hearing from you concerning the results of the evaluations referred to in those commitments.
