10 CFR 50.49 EQUIPMENT QUALIFICATION INSPECTION, HADDEM NECK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT (50-213/87-28) 1 This letter confirms the dates of November 16-20, 1987 for the NRC 10 CFR 50.49 equipment qualification (EQ) inspection of Haddam Neck. These dates were i
established during a conference call on October 20, 1987 between Mr. J. Ferraro of your organization and Mr. R. Paolino of the NRC Region I office.
The inspection will take place at the corporate office in East Berlin, Connecticut with a one l
day visit to the plant site.
A management entrance meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on November 16, 1987.
The management exit meeting is tentatively scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on November 20, 1987.
j The inspection will include the following:
1.
Review of your implementation of 10 CFR 50.49 EQ program, including preservation of qualified status of equipment.
j 2.
Review of your implementation of Technical Evaluation Report / Safety Evaluation Report EQ corrective action commitments.
3.
Review of EQ documentation files.

Physical inspection of equipment from the Master List.

One week prior to the inspection we will require one copy of each document identified in attachment l' with a plus (+) mark.
