SUMMARY

OF MEETING RE: INSERVICE TESTING PROGRAM FOR PUMPS AND VALVES (TAC #65326)

On June 2 and 3,1987, representatives of the NRC staff and NNECo met to discuss the additional information required to complete the staff review of the subject program. Enclosure 1 includes the list of attendees and the l responses to staff concerns that were made at the meeting. The highlights of this discussion are summarized as follows:

1. For all but one item, the NRC and NNECo agreed on the responses to staff concerns.
2. NNECo and the EGAG reviewers (staff consultants) differ on whether the auxiliary feedwater check valves are to be designated as active or passive valves. (See page 21 of Enclosure).
3. NNECo expects to complete its response to staff concerns by July 11, 1987.

Based on this data, the staff expects to completc its review in October A 1987.
