I approve publication of the Federal Register Notice and the issuance of the
" Final' Application-Specific Regulatory Guides and Standard Review Plans for Risk-Informed Regulation of Power Reactors," as described in SECY-98-067.
The staff should perform annual rm ;ews of the guidance documents and standard review plan chapters and incorpora : experience gained from risk-informed
-programs when revisions are necessary. If approved, revisions of the RI-ISI document should also be considered in light of the ASME proposed code case,
" Requirements for Safety Significance Categorization _ of Components Using Risk Insights for Inservice Testing of LWR Power Plants."
