VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 ANTICIPATED TRANSIENT WITHOUT SCRAM-AMSAC DESIGN In our letter Serial No. 85-316D dated January 7, 1987, we stated our intention to submit the plant specific design features for our AMSAC system by July 31, 1987. We have completed the technical portion of the plant specific design and the submittal is in routing for final review by upper management.
However, the recent steam generator tube rupture at North Anna has focused the attention of upper management on matters relevant to the recovery from the event.
We will l
require, therefore, an extension until August 28, 1987 in order to provide sufficient time for management review and incorporation of any final changes.
