Subject: Combined Inspection Report Nos. 50-277/87-18 and 50-278/87-18
Enclosed is the report of the Environmental Qualification Team inspection
conducted by Mr. R. J. Paolino and other NRC inspectors and representatives on
June 15-19, 1987 at the Philadelphia Electric Company Corporate Office in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Units 2
and 3 in Delta, Pennsylvania of activities authorized by NRC License No. DPR-44
)
and DPR-56, respectively. The team's finding were discussed with members of
your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection reviewed your
implementation of a program for establishing and maintaining the qualification
of electrical equipment important to safety within the scope of 10 CFR 50.49.
Within these areas the inspection consisted of examination of selected procedures
and records, interviews with personnel, observations and a physical walkdown
verification of specific electrical equipment.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
The inspection determined that you have implemented a program to meet the
requirements of 10 CFR 50.49.
