5 Page 1 of 1 CHANGES TO CALLAWAY NUCLEAR PLANT INSERVICE TESTING PROGRAM Item 1:

Change: Delete Relief Request AL-2 Basis for Change:

It has been determined that a quarterly mechanical exercise of the valves while monitoring the required opening torque is a sufficient test to prove operability. This I

is clearly stated in ASME Section XI IWV-3522.

1 Item 2:

Change: Revise Relief Request AE-1 to allow the option of representative disassembly or seat leak testing valves AE-V-120,121,122,123 as an alternate testing method.

l Bauts for Change:

Seat leakage tests are being developed to test these valves.

Disassembly should remain as an option in the event that seat leak testing is deemed infeasible.

Item 3:

Change: Add EJ-5 to Relief Request column for valve EJ-HV-8840.

Basis for Change:

Relief Request designator was inadvertently omitted during the last program revision.

3 Item 4:

Change: Revise Relief Request Pol to increase the discharge pressure gage tolerance from ! 5 psig to i 10 psig.

Basis for Change: The gage manufacturer lists a higher i

minimum tolerance level than the 2 5 psig limit stated in Relief Request P01.

The new t 10 psig tolerance is consistent with the manufacturer specifications and still meets the 2% accuracy limit specified by i

ASME Section XI Table IWP-4110-1.

Item 5:

Change: Delete valves EM-HV-8870A,B and EM-HV-8883 from Inservice Testing Program.

Basis for Change: These valves were inadvertently added to the program in the last revision; these valves are not required to be tested.

Item 6:

Change: Add Relief Request EM-7 to program.

Basis for Change:

Relief Request EM-7 was inadvertently omitted at the. previous revision.
