SUMMARY

MONTil: May,1998 l Catawba Unit i began the month of May operating at 100% full power. On 05/07/98 at 1156 the unit began i

decreasing power arid held at 27% power from .3506 to 1930 due to air leak on steam generator "lD" feedwater control valve "1CF55". The unit held at 27% power from 05/07/98 at 1930 to 05/08/98 at 0939 to evaluate feedwater system operability concerns. The unit returned to 100% full power on 05/16/98 at 0836 and operated at or near 100% full power the remainder of the month.
