COMPANY AND JOHN P. LARSEN E.A.87-223 ASLBP No. 89-582-01-SC NRC STAFF MOTION TO EXTEND DUE DATES
- 1. INTRODUCTION The NRC staff expected to learn from Mr. Larsen by telephone today what witnesses he intends to call in the captioned proceeding. The Staff has not been able to reach Mr. Larsen by telephone. However, Mr. Larsen had previously indicated that he would offer himself, Kevin Noack, and Dr.
Singh as witnesses. The Staff would like to take the depositions of these witnesses and to study their depositions prior to filing its testimony.
In addition, one of the Staff's expert witnesses, Dr. Darrell L. Fisher, will not be available during the week the Board has scheduled for hearing.
II. MOTION Wherefore, the NRC Staff requests the Licensing Board to extend the date for filing the Staff's testimony by two weeks until April 18, 1989 and the hearing dates until the week of June 5, 1989. The date for filing of licensee's testimony should be extended until May 15, 1989.
