REPORT NOS. 50-327/86-62 AND 50-328/86-62)
Thank you for your response of April 8,1987, to our Notice of Violation,
issued on March 4,1987, concerning activities conducted at your Sequoyah
facility.
We- have evaluated your response and find tht it meets the require-
ments of 10 CFR 2.201.
We note however, that with regard to.your statement in
paragraph 2 of the response which statas that this violation was "an isolated
incident and does not represent a programmatic deficiency", the NRC does not
consider that the extent of your resolution of past vendor manual control
problems is sufficiently advanced for you to conclude that this was an iso-
lated case.
We will be assessing your progress in resolving these problems
i
as.well, as examining implementation of your corrective actions during future
l
inspections.
