SUBJECT:
PUMP AND VALVE INSERVICE TESTING PROGRAM RELIEF REQUEST PR-14 (TAC NO. 69100).
Your letter of August 1, 1988 transmitted relief request PR-14 for'the Wolf Creek Generatirg) Station Inservice Testing Program in accordance with 10 CFR 50.55a(g)(5)(iii. This request concerns the ASME Code requirement for the measured or observed and recorded bearing temperature for the Safety' Injection Pumps.
We have determined that the testing requirements are impractical for the com-ponent for which relief is being granted and, pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(g)(6)(1),
i that the granting.of relief is authorized by law, will not endanger life or I
prcperty or the common defense and security, and is otherwise in the public l
interest.
In making this determination, we have given due' consideration to the burden that could result if those requirements are imposed on your facility.
This letter grants the relief.
Our Safety Evaluation is enclosed.
