Inspection 50-352/87-21
This letter transmits our report of the routine resident safety inspection by
Messrs. E. Kelly and S. Kucharski on August 6 - September 22, 1987 at the
Limerick Generating Stetion, Limerick, Pennsylvania.
The inspection consisted
of. document reviews, interviews, and observation of activities, and the results
have been discussed with Mr. John Franz of your staff.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified. However, the unresolved
~
item (Section.9 of the enclosed report) involving the potential interaction
between a non-safety .related fire protection detection system and the emergency
diesel generators which is fully described in the Limerick Unit 2 Construction
Team Inspection Report 50-353/87-11 will be the subject of an Enforcement
Conference and;is.also applicable.to Limerick Unit 1.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of-this letter and the enclosures
will be placed in-the Public Document Room.
