OPERATIONS
SUMMARY
SEPTEMBER,1987 The unit entered September operating at 100% power.
On September 1,1987 plant. power was reduced to approximately 73% and returned to full capacity following ~ repair of the "B" main feedwater pump coupling.
The plant continued at 100% power until September 16th when a turbine trip caused a reactor trip.
The turbine trip was the result of high moisture separator level.
The plant was returned to 100% power the following day and remained at that capacity for i
the remainder of the month.
'J MAJOR SAFETY RELATED MAINTENANCE 1
During the month of September, TMI Unit 1 performed no major maintenance on safety related equipment.
