A routine radiological safety inspection was conducted by Ms. Jean A. J
Gresick-Cioffi and Mr, Robert M. Loesch of this office on August 17-21, j
1987, at Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station, of outage activities during !
the 1987 refueling cycle. Findings were discussed with Mr. J. Pelletier of i
your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The purpose of the inspection was to review the implementation of the
radiological controls program under outage conditions. The inspector also
reviewed items of concern which were identified in previous inspections. J
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed. However, an
initial assessment was made of an allegation received on August 10, 1987, of
contamination located outside of the Radiologically Controlled Area. W

contamination, and your remedial actions.
