Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. H. Chaney and H. Scott of
this office during the period June 22-26, 1987, of activities authorized by NRC

Operating License NPF-47 for River Bend Station, and to the discussion of our
findings with you and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the
irspection.
Areas examined during the inspection involved the radiation protection program
including external occupational exposure control and personnel dosimetry;
internal exposure control and assessment; control of radioactive materials and
contamination, surveys, and monitoring; facilities and equipment; occupational
'
exposures during extended outages; and licensee's action concerning certain
NRC Information Notices. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of
selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with
,
personnel, and observations by the NRC inspectors. The inspection findings are
documented in the enclosed inspection report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
