A routine radiological controls inspection was conducted by Mr. R. L. Nimitz.

of this office at the Hope Creek Station on. July 24-30 and August 11, 12 and

14, 1987. The findings of the inspection were discussed with Mr. S. LaBruna.

The inspection covered: previous findings; organization and . staffing; audits;
ALARA; and external exposure controls.
The inspector also attended a meeting

regarding standardization of your radiological controls program.
Within the scope of this review, no violations were identified. However, your
corporate QA radiclo, gical control audits and certain areas of your
radiological control training program needed improvement (See paragraphs 3.21
and 5.2 of the attached inspection report).
