Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. R. Wise and Dr. J. B. Nicholas
of this office during the period June 8-12, 1987, of activities authorized by
NRC Operating License DPR-46, for Cooper Nuclear Station, and to the discussion
of our findings with Mr. R. Brunhardt and other members of your staff at the
conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included the chemistry / radiochemistry
program and water chemistry and radiochemistry confirmatory measurements.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of
procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and
observations by the NRC inspectors.
The inspection findings are documented in
the enclosed inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no fiolations or deviations were
identified.
We have also examined actions you have taken with regard to a previously
identified inspection finding. The status of this item is identified in
paragraph 2 of the enclosed report.
