Gentlemen:
SUBJECT:
DOCKET NOS. 50-424 AND 50-425 This acknowledges the receipt of your letter of June 17, 1987, which trans-mitted Revision 8 to the Vogtle Physical Security and Safeguards Contingency Plans.
Our review of the changes has found portions of the changes to be consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p).
One change is not consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p) and two changes require administrative clarifica-tion as delineated in the enclosure to this letter.
These changes were discussed between Mr. A. Tillman of this office and members of your staff during inspection 87-50.
To preclude a violation of regulatory requirements, you must not implement the change deemed inconsistent.
Please revert to the commitment in your previously approved plan or, if desired, modify your plan to accommodate the enclosed i
comments and resubmit corrected plan pages as necessary to maintain plan 1
continuity.
Should you want to pursue the change deemed inconsistent, you must submit a request to the Commission's Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation,

under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.90 for amendment to your license.
i The enclosure to your letter is being withheld from public disclosure because it contains Safeguards Information and must be protected in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 73.21.
The material enclosed herewith contains Safeguards Information as defined by 10 CFR 73.21 and its disclosure to unauthorized individuals is prohibited by Section 147 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
Therefore, the enclosure will not be placed in the Public Document Room.
