This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. A. G. Januska of
this office on September 14-18, 1987, of activities at Perry Nuclear Power Plant,

Unit 1, authorized by NRC Operating License No. NPF-58 and to the discussion

of our findings with Mr. Kensicki and others of your staff at the conclusion

of the inspection.

The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
In addition, our Mobile Laboratory was at the site
during the inspection to perform independent measurements of radioactivity.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
