Thank you for your letter, dated January 18, 1989, advising us of your conclusions in reference to an allegation concerning fitness-for duty matters involving a member of the security force (RIII-88-A-0181).
You are requested to send a copy of the investigation report and other supporting documentation referenced in your letter within 10 days of your receipt of this letter, su we can perform an independent review.
Since that time we have received two additional allegations that contractor supervisors are advising.their employees of selection for random ' drug testing several days prior to the testing date (RIII-89-A-0010, RIII-89-A-0012).
Discussion 'of this issue with the Manager, Quality Assurance on. February 6, 1989, disclosed that the investigation report mentioned above may have addressed these concerns. Therefore, no actions on your part are necessary concerning the latter two. allegations until we have completed our review of the aboy'e mentioned-investigation report. You w,ill be advised if there are any questions after our review has been completed.
The response directed by this letter is not subject to the clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of =the Commis:. ion's regulations, a co[y of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
