We are lifelong residents and businessmen of San Luis Obispo with over e1 ht 6enerations of Central California history behind us.
6 We have watched in disbelief at all the accusations and attacks on Pacific Gas & mectric Company, and the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Plant in particular, by some of our news media and by citizens with a
cause who seem to us to have a voice different from the mainstream of our society.
We live, breathe, and wozk near the Diablo Plant and have full confidence in its operation, its safety, and its value to its future
-1 and present customers. At present, the issue seems to be the stora6e of spent fuel on the premises of the plant. Although we sincerely wish our government officials would speed up the process of building a federal repository for storage of all spent fuel, we nevertheless are not in fear of on-site storage or re-racking until such a facility is selected.
We hope you will consider the exceptional safety and performance record the Pa.cific Gas & nectric.Co. has developed at Diablo Canyon

Many of us don't have the liberty to attend lengthy hearings or meetings to make our voices heard, so we hope this letter will remind you and your colleagues there are many like ourselves in our community who are supportive of the accomplishments and goals of Pacific Cas & Electric Company.
