DEFUELING l
l Pici and place defueling of partial length fuel assemblies and fuel l
l pins continued. Partial fuel essemblies C-3, D-3, E-6. E-7, F-5, l
F-6, F-7, F-8 and G-6 were loaded into defueling canisters. A total j
l of 45 fuel assemblies out of 177 in the core have now been broken i
free from the lower grid and loaded into canisters.
Thret canisters were fi!!ed and two partially filled.
The three filled canisters were transferred to the spent fuel pcol.

ENVIRONMENTAL h0NITORING US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sample analysis results I
show that TMI site liquid effluents are in accordance with regulatory limits, NkC requirements, and tha City of Lancaster Agreement.
TLil intoke water end water effluents from the stution (Units 1 end I
- 2) discharge are analyzed by EPA.
Gmana spectrum analyses of the seven daily cunposited sun.ples f or June 21 - 27, 1987 indiceted a trace of I-131 on one occasion.
In both the intake and effluent composite sumples for tne period from June 21 to 22,1987, activity i
was measured at 211 pC1/l. None of the other sarcples shawed any reactor related activity.
EPA's gamma spectrum analysis of the NRC's THI outdoor air sample for July 2 - 7, 1967 showed nc reactor related radioactivity.
The water works for the City of Lancaster composited seven daily sbmples fror. June 21 - 27, 1987.
EPA's gamma spectrum analysis of the compasite sample showed no reactcr related radioactivity.
