Catawba Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-413 and 50-414 Standby Shutdown Facility Technical Specification Dear Sir By letters dated August 7, 1985 and November 8, 1985 changes were requested to Catawba's Technical Specification 3/4.7.13 - Standby Shutdown System.
These amendment requests are hereby rescinded.
A significant amendment proposal to delete all fire protection requirements from the Technical Specifications is being formulated. Official submittal of this package is anticipated shortly.. Part of this proposed amendment request will be the relocation of the Standby Shui:down System (SSS) Specification to the Catawba FSAR.
Upon NRC approval of this soon to be submitted proposal, changes to the SSS Specification will be allowed in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.59.
Therefore, the previously requested changes to the SSS Specification will be incorporated after approval of the fire protection changes and those changes will be submitted with the annual 50.59 submittal.
