j EFFECTIVE DATE 08-26-37 Rev. O HP4461P 0-0306P SP.486 MONTHLY CR/TSC VENTILATION GAS MONITOR TEST 1.0 PURPOSE 1.1 To perform and document the functional test of the Class I Control Room Technical Support Center (CR/TSC) Ventilation Gas Monitors R-15701 and R-15702.
1.2 This procedure satisfies Rancho Seco Unit 1 Technical Specification Table 4.1-1. Item 44a for monitors R-15701 and R-15702.
2.0 LIMITATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS 2.1 During alarm and loss of power testing of each monitor, energized field wires are lifted and relanded.
1 2.2 Do not leave the installed RM-23P or the installed RM-11 supervisory key unattended.

3.0 PREREQUISITES EQlE:
This procedure can be performed in any plant condition.
3.1 Monitor R-15701 or R-15702 are not in alert or alarm.
3.2 QC has been notified that wire reland inspection will be required during the performance of this procedure.
4.0 SPECIAL TOOLS / EQUIPMENT 4.1 Digilal Multimeter (DMM), Fluke 77, 2.0% accuracy or equivalent 4.2 General Atomics Supervisory Key 4.3 RM-23P, General Atomics Module (if required) 4.4 Hatch or Timepiece synchronized to Control Room time to be used to document events for post test alarm analysis.

c 5.0 ACCEPTANCE CRfTERIA 5.1 The HVAC High Radiation Relay, Loss of Counts and Checksource operate as shown with *** on Data Sheets 3 and 4.

This procedure contains 2 monitors.
The checkoff block is provided to maintain the place in the procedure for each monitor.

The DMM will be monitoring the Control Room and TSC Essential HVAC System high radiation inputs. A closed contact (DMH indicates continuity) indicates high radiation detected.

If a procedure activity can be performed by either device, it will appear as RM-ll (RM-23P) in the step and if an alert or alarm function is verified by either device it will be described as RM-11 (RM-23L).

QUARTERLY CR/TSC VENTILATION GAS MONITOR CALIBRATION 1.0 PURPOSE 1.1 To perform and document the calibration of the Class I Control Room / Technical Support Center (CR/TSC) Ventilation Cas Monitors R-15701 and R-15702, 1.2 This procedure and SP.486, Monthly CR/TSC Ventilation Gas Monitor Test satisfies Rancho Seco Unit 1 Technical Specification, Table 4.1-1, Item 44a for monitors R-15701 and R-15702 2.0 LIMITATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS 2.1 This procedure requires the use of a radiation source which will be handled and controlled under the direct supervision of the Radiation Protection Department.
2.2 Do not leave the installed RM-23P unit unattended.
Database changer can be made when the unit is installed.
2.3 Do not exceed 1250 Vdc when adjusting the high voltage power supplies (HVPS1 and HVPS2).
3.0 PREREQUISITES NOTE:
No specific plant condition is required.
3.1 A Radiation Work Permit' (RWP) has been obtained to perfor m this procedure.
