MEETING WITH DOE ON WASTE CEMENT SOLIDIFICATION AT WEST VALLEY i In response to a request from E. Maestas, DOE, a meeting with the NRC staff and consultants has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 24, 1989 in room 12B11 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
DOE had verbally expressed the wish to meet with the NRC staff to discuss DOE's preliminary plans for handling the " sludge wash" from the reprocessing liquid waste in Tank 8D2. The date of January 24, 1989 is convenient to DOE following their detailed briefing of the ACNW on West Valley activities on January 23, 1989.
The NRC staff has indicated to DOE that the January 24, 1989 meeting would also be an appropriate time to informally provide our review comments on the November 29, 1988 submittal frem DOE (W. Bixby to M. Knapp).
