EQUIPMENT QUALIFICATION INSPECTION OF VERMONT YANKEE NUCLEAR POWER STATION (INSPECTION No. 50-271/87-25)
This letter confirms the dates of October 19 - 23, 1987 for the NRC equipment qualification (EQ) inspection for Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station.
These dates were established during a previous telephone conversation between Mr.
Walter Anson on September 18, 1987 and Mr. Lenoard Cheung of this office.
The inspection will take place at the plant site.
A management entrance meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on October 19, 1987 with a management exit meeting tentatively scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on October 23, 1987 at the plant site. A plant walkdown inspection of specific EQ equipment is planned for Wednesday, October 21, 1987.
The inspection will include the following:
1.
Review of your implementation of 10 CFR 50.49 EQ program, including preservation of qualified status of equipment.
2.
Review of your implementation of Technical Evaluation Report / Safety i
Evaluation Report EQ corrective action commitments.

Review of EQ documentation files.
4.
Physical inspection of equipment from the Master List.
One week prior to the inspection we will require one copy of each document i
identified in attachment 1 with a plus (+) mark.
