V. C. SUMMER NUCLEAR STATION - CONTROL ROOM HABITABILITY SURVEY During the period of January 12-16, 1987, the NRC conducted a survey of control rcom habitability at the V. C. Summer Nuclear Station. This survey was part of a 12 plant survey to determine the general nuclear industry's status with regard to control room habitability.

Enclosed is a copy of the NRC Survey Team's Trip Report. You should review this Trip Report to see if it provides any additional information beyond that discussed at the exit interview. We have your submittal of March 9,1987 addressing what you understood to be the NRC concerns, but we have not com-pleted a review of it. You are requested to address any items contained in the enclosure not previously addressed in your March 9,1987 letter.

Any general plant concerns as a result of the 12 plant survey or specific plant concerns will be the subject of future correspondence.

This request is covered by Office of Management and Budget Clearance Number 3150-0011 which expires September 30, 1989.

Comments on burden and duplication may be directed to the Office of Management and Budget, Room 3208, New Executive Office Building, Washington, DC 20503 Contact me if you have any questions concerning this issue.
