This is to confirm the arrangements for the briefing that you requested on NRC's recently published eva untion of the " Reed Report." h _
We too are interested in clarifying for you and the citizens of Louisiana the significance of the information contained in the report and brief you on NRC's review of it. MRC released its report, "NRC Staff Evaluation of the General Electric Company Nuclear Reactor Study (" Reed Report")," on July 22 and 4 conducted a press briefing in Washington, D.C. Your deputy Dr. Bohlinger has informed us that the briefing will take place at 9:30 a.m. on August 20 in your offices and will be followed by a press briefing. I expect NRC to be represented by four individuals: Roby Bevan-from NRC's Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, and Johns Jaudon, Joe Gilliland, and Gary Sanborn from the regional office. Mr. Sanborn will be in touch with you or Dr. Sohlinger to discuss the meeting format. {
