Docket Nos. 50-443-OL and 50-444-OL j
Dear Congressmen Smith and Gregg:
Regarding your letter of September 21, 1987, the Atomic Safety and l
Licensing Board has been very sensitive to many requests from the public and from elected officials such as yourselves to reconsider the matter of receiving public conrnents at the upcoming hearing in Concord. We certainly agree with your observation that a spirit of cooperation with j
the New Hampshire public would be beneficial to everyone concerned.
The Board has provided for very substantial additional opportunities for official representatives of the public in the zone surrounding Seabrook to present their views.
I have enclosed a copy of a Board memorandum on that issue.
Ver truly yours, Y
W fff Ivan W.
