This letter refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Ms. A. J. Lodewyk
of this office on July 6-10, 1987, at Millstone Nuclear Power Station Unit 2.
Ms. Lodewyk discussed the findings of the inspection with Mr. Stetz of your
staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
This inspection focused on the Millstone Unit 2 steam generator surveillance
and preventive maintenance programs. Areas examined during this inspection are
described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this
letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations
of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and obser-

vations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
