Gross electrical generation was 352,331 MWH or 90.6% of design e

electrical capacity.

Operating Summary The following is a chronological description of plant operations including other pertinent items of interest for the month:

At the beginning of the reporting period the plant was operating at 96.7% of rated thermal power.

870607 At 0137 hours0.00159 days <br />0.0381 hours <br />2.265212e-4 weeks <br />5.21285e-5 months <br />, decreased power to 80% for Turbine Bypass Valve testing.

A return to full power was initiated.

870615 At 1545 hours0.0179 days <br />0.429 hours <br />0.00255 weeks <br />5.878725e-4 months <br />, decreased power to 79% via recirculation flow to remnve the "B" recirc pump from service due to a brush wear problem.

(See Unit Shutdowns and Power Reductions) 870615 At 1753 hours0.0203 days <br />0.487 hours <br />0.0029 weeks <br />6.670165e-4 months <br />, started the "B" recirculation pump after brush repairs were made and a return to full power was initiated.

At the end of the reporting period, the plant was operating at 89.9% of rated thermal power and continuing to coast down.
